Coca‑Cola Great Britain offers a magical summer of connection in new ‘Summer of Music’ programme
Igniting unparalleled opportunities to come together through music and experiences, Coca‑Cola's 'Summer of Music’ in Great Britain aims to connect music fandoms and recruit a new generation of consumers
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, 17 JUNE 2024 – Today, Coca‑Cola Great Britain announces the launch of its full and extended ‘Summer of Music’ programme for 2024, inviting music fans to get connected through unmatched music experiences. The programme will roll out across Great Britain and 30 European markets, showing up at some of the hottest festivals and events this summer with a real magic mix of festival partnerships; new artist collaborations and content and much more.
Coca‑Cola's campaign is born out of the insight that Gen Z are increasingly suffering from a ‘connection deficit’. Despite being the most digitally connected generation, 72% of Gen Z claim that they feel lonely at least once a month1 and are turning to music as a powerful tool for connection, with 50% saying their music fandom provides a sense of community2.
Harnessing the unique power of music to unite, Coca‑Cola Great Britain's ‘Summer of Music’ programme is designed to bring incredible music experiences within reach, sparking opportunities for Gen Z to connect, bond, and feel a sense of community with a shared passion of music at the heart. The programme promises to deliver incredible summer of music experiences both on and offline, to connect music fans with their fandoms, friends, favourite artists – and festivals.
Partnering with some of the country's hottest music festivals this summer including Uber One presents All Points East, Boardmasters and Brighton & Hove Pride’s FABULOSO, Coca‑Cola Great Britain is offering music fans unforgettable moments to connect IRL and immerse themselves into the festival culture and community, as well as offering a chance to watch some festivals livestreamed in the Coca‑Cola App.
This summer, Coca‑Cola will also unveil season three of the brand’s global music platform, COKE STUDIO with a new line-up of artists and new music content from June 2024. These stand-out, fan-favourite artists and acts include Global GRAMMY® Award-winning popstar that became the first female artist to debut at #1 on Billboard 200 Chart with an all-Spanish-language album, Karol G; the sensational group, NewJeans; and Berlin-based South Korean DJ, singer, songwriter and record producer, Peggy Gou. COKE STUDIO will reveal more exciting artists in the coming months. The COKE STUDIO 2024 roster of artists was curated, produced, and managed in partnership with Universal Music Group For Brands; Spotify’s music consultancy, AUX; and Blended Strategy Group.
Florence Wheatley, Brand Manager for Coca‑Cola comments: “We're super excited for our summer of music to kick-off this summer in Great Britain. Music is a wonderful way for many to connect with friends or new people and, through our activations and festival partnerships, we're excited to bring people together over something they love."
