Shae Gill

Anushae Babar Gill, professionally known as Shae Gill, is a 24-year old Pakistani singer born and raised in Lahore. Her renditions and covers of old classical songs on Instagram started gaining some attention a few years back. The recent release of her song ‘Pasoori’ with Ali Sethi on Coke Studio Season 14 went viral and has taken up positions in the top charts around the world. Shae’s journey started in her friend’s room, where she started singing covers of old Pakistani songs and posting them to her Instagram. To their surprise, the videos got noticed by more people than they had initially anticipated and eventually Xul, the producer of Coke Studio Season 14, got her on board to sing ‘Pasoori’ with Ali Sethi.
