The World Cup Trophy Tour in Dubai culminated with the most prestigious prize in sport and the most iconic logo in the world being projected onto the façade of the Burj Khalifa and illuminating the Dubai skyline red in a glittering light display.
The Burj Khalifa is a symbol of Dubai’s towering ambition and, similar to the World Cup Trophy, it is representative of innovation, excellence and achievements, making it a fitting conclusion to the Trophy Tour.
Speaking at the light display, Murat Ozgel, General Manager of Coca‑Cola Middle East:
“It is an incredible honour to host the FIFA World Cup Trophy in Dubai, and given its status as the sporting world’s most iconic prize, it is only fitting for us to spread World Cup excitement throughout the city with a projection onto one of the most iconic structures in the world.
We’re also delighted to be able to share this historic moment with our colleagues and members of the public.
Our partnership with FIFA spans over forty years, and we at Coca‑Cola share their vision of inclusion and diversity in the world.
Football holds the power to inspire and connect people, transcending barriers as fans share moments of excitement and joy.
The FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour has further ignited the Middle East’s passion for the sport, building anticipation ahead of the world’s greatest sporting event.”
Earlier in the day, the World Cup Trophy received a champion’s welcome when it landed in Dubai on the Coca‑Cola chartered aircraft.
It then visited some of Dubai’s most recognisable landmarks. After taking centre stage at the newly opened Dubai Frame it reached new heights on the 112th floor at the Burj Khalifa, the highest point on land the trophy has ever been.
The World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca‑Cola continues its global tour which spans over 10,000 miles before returning to host nation Russia.
